Support Team 2007 Update!

As I say each year as an intro, for those who have never been to HeartLand, all of the buildings and locations on the property have names. It is a fun part of the whole experience at HeartLand. Stay in a cabin called Peace or Love or Harmony or Happiness, maybe work in the office called Grace or be part of the Support Team and live in the Treehouse (not really in a tree but is two stories) or Eternal Support. You will visit michael and jeanie in Heaven

(their home) and see the bookstore called Blessings. Attendees go to workshops, exercise and eat in the Heart Center. Come to an intensive or become part of our team and experience life in a whole new way.

During our 2006-2007 winter tour, michael and jeanie covered a lot of territory and touched a lot of lives. To name a few: Seattle and Tacoma, Washington; Anchorage, Alaska; four stops in Sweden, Denmark and Copenhagen; Coeur d’Alene, Idaho; Portland, Oregon; back to Coeur d’Alene; Vale, Colorado; Salt Lake City, Utah; Murfreesboro and Nashville, TN. Thank you David Hayes for stepping in the last four weeks of this stretch and offering such support. David drove, packed, set up, took down and offered assistance before it was even asked for.

A few weeks off for the Christmas holidays in Bristol, TN and then began a heavy tour through Florida. William and Trinity traveled the same circuit for several weeks assisting in workshops as well as providing massages and preparing some raw meals and snacks. We held a 9-day intensive in Brooksville, FL where they led the kitchen crews in meal preparation. After this intensive they left the Support Team and headed back north to follow a different path. Thank you for taking part in what we do and being willing to do your work.

The beginning of 2007 saw Patrick and Julie holding down the fort at HeartLand alone while we finished this tour on the road. The first of Spring, Julie raked the entire property – cleaning up sticks and leaves and other debris – so much so that the neighbors asked if she was for hire! Thank you, Julie and bless those muscles you found. Patrick cleaned the greenhouse out in preparation for the season. Your Love is Visible! Looks great!

April found us making our way back up through Tennessee and North Carolina and arriving back at HeartLand by the end of the month. Tom joined us in Bristol, Tennessee and assisted us in “moving” our Tennessee residence to HeartLand. Besides helping to load the U-Haul truck, he drove most of the way while jeanie and michael pulled a trailer load behind the van. Unloading and getting moved in was just the beginning……we had not been “home” since September 2005 and there was a lot to do to get ready for the summer season.

Work month began full speed….Thank you to everyone who had a part…

David made his “permanent” move to HeartLand and he and Tom began opening all the buildings back up and preparing them for occupancy. There were roofs to be checked, general cleaning up, plumbing to be flushed and leaks repaired. Modifications needed to be made to a couple of the buildings: handicap support bars in bathrooms, sheetrock some walls, and painting. Patrick put new bathroom fixtures in Eternal Support and was called upon on many occasions to assist in plumbing issues. These guys hung new wallboard in the HeartCenter and finished the kitchen project that was started the year before.

Lisa came up for a couple of weeks from Tampa and started cleaning in the HeartCenter. Everything needed to be washed, dusted, vacuumed, aired out, turned back on and squirrels and chipmunks and other little critters chased back out into the woods.

Kathleen came from Tampa as well, she is on the Team through next our next Intensive season. Her first task was patching sheetrock, painting and preparing the room she chose to be her space – it is called Integrity. It is absolutely beautiful! Then she put her skills to work in Happiness patching walls and painting. She jumped right into the kitchen tasks and once the intensives started was more than willing to assist Ari with the rest of the kitchen crews.

Once again Patrick and Julie offered support with personal processing (especially with the worksheets) to the other Support Team members and Intensive attendees. This is a priceless gift to all.

David and Kathleen turned the greenhouse areas back into garden sites instead of just a home for the weeds. The heat and the wildlife did not allow the plants to produce much this year but the preparation has been done and next year’s garden should prove worthy of the sweat that has been given this year. We have fruit trees ready to be transplanted in the Spring as well.

Julie was jeanie’s right hand this summer – between the two of them Heaven was given a thorough Spring cleaning and Grace was totally redone so it can now be used as HeartLand Offices again.

Dawn came a week earlier than planned and she stayed all summer. She assisted in the final preparations of the cabins and the HeartCenter and in between intensives was instrumental in the clean up and preparing for the next group. She assisted in gathering the recipes from Ari and typing them into the computer for our compilation of the Raw-Cipe book.

Jennifer came for the first 9 day intensive and stayed the whole 53 days and although she was not on the Support Team she assisted in every area where another set of hands was needed. She is currently assisting with the new MindShifter book and she provided Rain Drop Therapy and Essential Oils to all who were interested. She was a great support in processing others as well. Jennifer has committed to the next two summer seasons.

Doug and Noel and their boys (Luke & Jesse) came to visit for a couple of weeks and were willing to help during their stay. They will be joining us soon for a year program. Doug and David trained with michael in Florida learning the new HeartLand AutoSprout Machine….this is to be HeartLand’s “cottage industry”. Go to www.HeartLandAutoSprout.com for more information.

There are still other projects to be completed….we want to totally redesign the Heart Center this next year. The plan is to raise the ceiling to open beams, move the bathrooms outside of the main room, move the food bar to the other side opening up the teaching space to almost double. The new theme is lighthouses – as we are to be a light to the world. We have ideas for “painting” the floor and walls. We would also like to proceed with the pool renovation. So now we need the people with time and talent to get this project complete before next season. Please consider attending Work Month 2008. Michael and Jeanie will be on the road during work month however the Support Team is there and prepared to lead the workshops each evening in our absence. The work goes on. See Schedule.

We have at least three more people coming between now and the Spring to be a part of the Support Team Super-Intensive for this next year. It is becoming a real community of like minds but there is still room for a few more to join us. Any carpenter / builder / handyman or office types ready to take a year off from the world to have the most healing experience of your life?
