One Person’s Voice

The following paragraph is a quote from my book, WHY IS THIS HAPPENING TO ME . . . AGAIN?! It addresses the root of what each of us must deal with in order to create a different dynamic in our world, in our relationships and in our lives.

“Look into the eyes of a child. How many times, on an energy level, must that child be violated to cause him to hate? How much propaganda

does it take to grow a child into a person who can kill, into a person who believes that the world is a fearsome place—that life is poverty, relationships hell and sex dirty? What does it take for people to believe they are sinners, condemned by a Creator called Love in Whose Image they are made? Why is there such confusion in the world?”

MY COMMITMENT, a tool from the Healing Through Relationships workshop, is on the removable insert at the center page of this newsletter. Will you consider holding it up as your flag of truce and give a copy to at least one perceived “enemy?” We are excited about this, our first newsletter. Will you copy this article or as a way of supporting us perhaps copy this entire newsletter 10 or 100 times and pass it on to someone you love, or perhaps someone you haven’t yet learned to love? If each of us reaches out to at least one person from whom we feel separation perhaps the world will be a better place after this year’s Holy-Days. Consider:

Will You Make the Difference?!

“Tell me the weight of a snowflake,” a hawk asked a wild dove. “Nothing more than nothing,” was the answer. “In that case I must tell you a marvelous story,” said the hawk. “I sat on the branch of a fir, close to its trunk. It began to snow. Not heavily, not a raging blizzard, no, just like in a dream, without any violence. Since I had nothing better to do, I counted the snowflakes settling on the twigs and needles of my branch. Their number was exactly 3,741,952 when the next snowflake dropped onto the branch—‘nothing more than nothing’ as you say—and the branch broke off.” Having said that the hawk flew away.

The dove, since Noah’s time an authority on peace, thought about the story for a while and finally said with resolve, “PERHAPS ONLY ONE PERSON’S VOICE IS LACKING FOR PEACE TO COME ABOUT IN THE WORLD.”

Have a Wondrous Holy-Day Season,

michael
