January 1, 2015 episode of MindShifters Radio, Dr. Michael Ryce was joined by Michelle Pache, who filled in for Jeanie Ryce, and Dr. Tim Hayes to welcome listeners into a new year of transformation through the Aramaic process of forgiveness. Broadcasting from the road while en route to Florida workshops, Dr. Ryce emphasized that this could be the best year of one’s eternal life if listeners engage with the tools offered in the first-century Aramaic teachings. He invited people to visit their website, whyagain.org, and attend live workshops in Bradenton, Tampa, and St. Petersburg, Florida.
Dr. Ryce underscored that true forgiveness, in its Aramaic origin, is not about pardoning others, but rather about removing internal blocks—such as rage, guilt, fear, and grief—that obscure the presence of love within. He likened forgiveness to a virus removal tool, essential for restoring our natural human function as beings of love. He recounted a story of a woman who completely transformed her emotional state during an intensive, illustrating the power of removing layers of pain to reclaim peace and clarity. Dr. Tim Hayes reflected on how engaging with the forgiveness tools—rather than merely understanding them intellectually—has significantly improved his life, allowing him to stay grounded in love even when daily events deviate from expectations. He spoke of leading a support group for nine years and how it became the highlight of his week, reinforcing the importance of integrating the tools into one’s routine to shift out of reactive states. The conversation turned philosophical and practical as they discussed the cultural acceptance of anger and its consequences. Dr. Ryce debunked the idea that Jesus promoted rage when cleansing the temple, explaining that the Greek translation of the word “whip” distorted the Aramaic meaning. Instead of violent outrage, the original term refers to a gentle broom used to clear chickens—a metaphor for the clarity and power needed to remove what doesn’t belong in our internal “temple.” Ryce emphasized that anger always anesthetizes pain and clouds intelligence, often leading people to actions they regret. A caller named Susan raised questions about Aramaic concepts such as “prana,” “Ruka de Kutcha,” and “Shekinah,” exploring how these energetic forces correlate with spirit, breath, and divine life. Dr. Ryce explained that Ruka de Kutcha refers to the breath or energetic force of God, often misinterpreted by Greek translators as the Holy Spirit. They also discussed “Rakhma,” an Aramaic term for the filter in the frontal lobe that helps maintain the condition of love and connection, which is central to authentic human experience. The episode highlighted real-life examples of people breaking through inherited trauma responses, such as the startle reflex and fear of conflict, by working through intensives and using the forgiveness tools. Magda’s transformation—being unaffected by a person’s rage—served as a powerful testament to the potential for peace that lies beneath fear-based reactions. Dr. Ryce closed with a powerful analogy involving a man switching businesses without gaining the proper skills, comparing it to how people repeat relationship or emotional patterns without changing the tools they use. He and Jeanie invited listeners to upcoming workshops and teacher trainings, encouraging everyone to commit to creating the best year yet of their eternal lives by reconnecting to love and letting go of what no longer serves. January 2, 2015 episode of MindShifters Radio, Dr. Michael Ryce and Jeanie Ryce, along with Dr. Tim Hayes, continued their mission of teaching the first-century Aramaic understanding of forgiveness. Dr. Ryce opened with a bold reminder that forgiveness is not about letting others off the hook, but rather a powerful internal process of removing what never belonged in one’s system—specifically, any form of hostility, fear, guilt, or grief. These emotions, he reiterated, are anomalies and not natural to the human design. True forgiveness, in the Aramaic sense, is about correcting internal errors and returning to one’s natural state—the active presence of love.
Jeanie welcomed listeners and reminded them of the show’s purpose: to support individuals in developing a solid foundation of love within themselves. Dr. Ryce emphasized that tools such as the forgiveness worksheet, available for free on their website, empower individuals to take ownership of their inner experience and undo past trauma and error-based thinking. He reinforced the point that holding a newborn child offers a glimpse into our true nature, one of innocence and pure love, and that most people abandon this state far too easily when triggered by external events. Dr. Tim Hayes shared insights from A Course in Miracles and The Way of Mastery, reflecting on the idea that life is not a zero-sum game. He explained that love grows through giving and is never diminished by sharing. The more we withhold love, the more we deprive ourselves of it. This view aligns with the Aramaic concept that we are interconnected, and that forgiveness clears projections, returning us to clarity and love. They also discussed how withdrawing love from another actually withdraws it from oneself, and that to re-experience love we must choose to extend it—even in moments of conflict. Dr. Ryce related these ideas back to the Aramaic teachings of Rachma, the filter in the frontal lobes that maintains connection to love and allows our minds to function properly. Without it, people revert to inherited patterns of hostility and fear. Forgiveness, as a tool, helps dissolve these ancient burdens. The conversation shifted to lessons from A Course in Miracles, including Lesson 184 and Lesson 121, both of which focus on identity and forgiveness as key to freedom. Dr. Ryce recalled that these passages once triggered deep altered states for him and emphasized that our task is to step away from symbolic interpretations and move into direct, present-moment experience. They described how engaging in forgiveness work clears our energetic structure and allows us to live in love continuously. They explored the resistance most people have to letting go of old patterns, explaining that it’s effortless—but painful—to stay stuck in the past. In contrast, choosing forgiveness and growth takes conscious effort, but it makes life easier and more joyful. Dr. Tim Hayes shared a story from Guy Finley about how life continually calls us into greater levels of expansion, even when it seems like loss. Julie from Oregon later called in to share her reflections from A Course in Miracles, particularly on the idea that God’s will is complete joy and peace, and that our task is to learn to live from that will rather than ego-based identity. Jeanie and Dr. Ryce also shared an insight that neighbor, in the Aramaic understanding, means anyone you think about—making forgiveness and love toward others inseparable from love of self. They reminded listeners that being in the active presence of love and holding that space for others dissolves untruths and frees us from projections. The show closed with encouragement for everyone to continue their practice of forgiveness, use the tools provided at whyagain.org, and consider attending upcoming workshops in Florida.
