michael explains projection communication verse respons-ability communication
Magda called in to share the “awareness” that at the end of the wake-up sheet when a new goal is set, one needs to execute a behavior and actually “do” something to see that goal’s achievement Brenda conversation about ACIM lesson about looking at the world differently, changed her view on “her mind being blank” that she was releasing her grip on all the issues (her reality) not losing her grip on life. A participant of the intensive shared that they realized they were finally living whereas they had been “dead” just existing and not a real BEING. Explain “sadness” how do you not feel sad when there is “loss” or “missing someone”? Wake-up sheets around sadness, grief and loss. Replace the programed belief of loss and experience the Being we are. Live for self and release identifying with our “position” of mother, father, provider, etc. we may take on a “role” in life but that is not who we really are. And relinquishing the role of the provider Mom does not mean relinquishing the person Mom. |

February 3, 2016 episode of MindShifters Radio, on Recovery Wednesday, Dr. Michael Ryce, Jeanie Ryce, and Dr. Tim Hayes reflect on the profound healing taking place during an intensive workshop focused on self-love. Jeanie Ryce shares that several participants are engaging deeply with unresolved trauma, including sexual abuse, and are experiencing emotional breakthroughs by working with the forgiveness tools. Dr. Ryce explains that true forgiveness, as taught in first-century Aramaic, is not about pardoning others, but about removing the energetic content of pain and hostility from one’s own physiology. He emphasizes that love must be brought into conscious awareness to initiate real transformation, and that the healing process involves facing and transmuting stored internal pain.
Dr. Tim Hayes recounts his own recent experience with a physical detox that mirrored emotional clearing, reinforcing the idea that symptoms often signal healing rather than illness. The team discusses how sickness, both physical and emotional, can be the body’s way of purging toxic content. They challenge conventional interpretations of disease and stress the importance of observing internal energy rather than blaming external factors. This theme recurs as they talk about denial and the human tendency to dissociate from pain by projecting it outward. Community members call in to share their experiences, offering gratitude for the safe space created by the show and the intensives. One participant named Terry speaks about learning to receive love and the shifts he’s experiencing in his perception of the world. Dr. Ryce reiterates that real healing demands persistent practice, including stillness, breathwork, and conscious forgiveness. He points out that people often avoid quiet time because it brings them face-to-face with suppressed pain, and he reminds listeners that transformation is possible when the tools are used consistently. The episode highlights how the intensives are helping individuals reclaim their identity as love, and how reconnecting with that essence becomes a compass for the healing journey. The team encourages all listeners to continue their inner work, knowing that the tools of Aramaic forgiveness can bring about profound change when practiced with intention and love. There is a power bigger than us who knows how everything works and keeps it working (i.e. how do I keep breathing, how do I digest food, how does my heart keep breathing or what keeps the stars in place?). This power says “ask and receive” but your asker is not your head but in your “heart” the unconscious. We are creators, so if there is something you want, why have you not created it? Because there is a part of you deeper and stronger than your words that believes differently. “I don’t deserve it. I can’t have it. It will not work.”
Why do we cancel a goal when it is a GOOD GOAL? i.e Wanting a dying child to live? Stand as a healing space instead of in fear. Aramaic SHBAG means to cancel or untie (let loose). ACIM “Let go all the things you think you want. Your triffling treasures put away. Leave a clear and open space for Christ to come.” |

Dr Tim hosted. Nothing outside of you can cause you pain. When we say “You made me ______” We see 9-bits (maximum) of conscious information at a time while there is 10,000 brain cells firing in a 20 trillion bit world…and we think we know what is going on. It is like looking through a pinhole at the Grand Canyon and then walking away saying we saw the Grand Canyon. Or looking and tasting, etc a glass full of ocean water and saying we have experienced the ocean.
Pat K. who participated in the 9-day intensive called in and shared doing her work around her feelings on abandonment by both her parents. She did a wake-up sheet as if she were her father doing a wake-up sheet on little Patty (herself). Great ah-has! If I experience upset around something, it is something I have done myself and I am still judging myself negatively. My advice for “them” is perfect advice for me. |

February 10, 2016 episode of MindShifters Radio, on Recovery Wednesday, Dr. Michael Ryce, Jeanie Ryce, and Dr. Tim Hayes delve into the complexities of addiction, resistance, and transformation through the lens of Aramaic forgiveness and spiritual self-awareness. Dr. Ryce opens the discussion by distinguishing between the desire to change and the actual commitment to change, emphasizing that real transformation requires more than verbal intention—it requires consistent, inner-directed action. He explains that healing cannot occur as long as one remains in denial or projects pain outward. Using the biblical metaphor of the Israelites wandering in the desert, he illustrates how unresolved generational patterns and unconscious beliefs can prevent lasting change unless confronted with honesty and love.
Dr. Tim Hayes contributes by exploring how familiar patterns and emotional addictions—such as to anger, sadness, or trauma—can feel safer than stepping into the unknown territory of healing. He discusses the role of feedback loops in the brain and how people unconsciously recreate the same emotional dramas to maintain a sense of identity. The trio emphasizes the necessity of challenging these dynamics by using the forgiveness tools to dismantle the stories that keep people stuck in pain. Dr. Stephen Androcki joins to share a powerful story of a young woman struggling with IV heroin addiction, describing her daily chaos and his efforts to help her develop a plan for healing. He explains the need for a structured roadmap that includes a clear commitment to change and external accountability. Dr. Androcki also discusses the importance of restoring a person’s sense of identity through spiritual connection and active love, stressing that many people in addiction have lost touch with who they truly are. He advocates for regular practice, including writing, quiet reflection, and the use of the Reality Management Worksheet to shift perceptions and emotions. Later in the show, a caller named Gail highlights the critical role of setting goals and revisiting them regularly. Dr. Ryce reinforces that the root of healing lies in restoring connection to love, not just intellectually, but energetically and emotionally. The conversation closes with encouragement for listeners to use the tools daily, stay committed to the process, and remember that healing is always available when one is willing to do the work and show up for love. Alanis Morissette singing “Madness” (did not come through clear enough). The song says “Now I see the madness in me – it’s brought out in the presence of you – now I know the madness lives on – when you’re not in the room. Though I’d love to blame you for all I wish – I miss these moments of opportune – you simply brought this madness to light – and I should thank you. Oh, thank you, much thanks for this birds eye view. Oh thank you for your most generous triggers.” Read the lyrics at http://www.songlyrics.com/alanis-morissette/madness-lyrics/ and listen to her sing it on https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8D9mhHd6P_U Also check her song “Underneath” where she addresses that it is all a more personal, an inside issue reflecting in our world.

Check out this video http://www.cbsnews.com/news/how-a-blind-teen-sees-with-sound/ – he lost his eyes at 2 years old, now he is 14 years old and he “sees” through the darkness by echolocation like the dolphin or whale. So … do we really “see” with our eyes?
Susan shares her Laws of Living classwork and her own growth through the LOL 8 times. Michael reminds her and all of us who are doing our purpose to take this work to every mind on the planet and create the shift towards love (through critical mass)… Quote from “Mr. Holland’s Opus” – “Mr. Holland isn’t rich and he isn’t famous, at least not outside of our little town. So it might be easy for him to think himself a failure. But he would be wrong, because I think that he’s achieved a success far beyond riches and fame. Look around you. There is not a life in this room that you have not touched, and each of us is a better person because of you. We are your symphony Mr. Holland. We are the melodies and the notes of your opus. We are the music of your life.” |

Thich Nhat Hanh article http://www.lionsroar.com/growing-together/ great teaching on relationship. It begins inside yourself.
Choose to be sweetness and hold the space of love for self and others. Be aware – thinker apart from the thought, feeler apart from the feeling, actor apart from the action. Interesting to see the resistence for some to be willing to look within. They have the tools but won’t use them. Remove the energies creating the distortion in the cells and the cells can return to perfect health. Not always easy or Dr. Feelgood. |

When we say we feel something because of something or someone outside of us we are in denial. Forgiveness is when we stand in the space of willingness and drop inside and see what the thought is behind the feeling and when exposed to love it will dissolve. Then we can be “human” regardless of what our circumstances are. Definition of a human? Think of holding a newborn and describe its essence in one word – miracle, beautiful, sweet, precious, inncent, awesome – that is human and who we are all designed to be. |

February 17, 2016 episode of MindShifters Radio, Jeanie Ryce hosts the show while Dr. Tim Hayes is absent and Dr. Michael Ryce joins in from the road. The broadcast opens with an overview of the Laws of Living intensive happening in Orlando, highlighting the unique readiness and dedication of the group participating. Dr. Ryce discusses the significance of the Personal Code Evaluation, a tool that measures ten areas of personal development, revealing blind spots and providing tailored assignments for transformation. He shares his excitement over the unprecedented strength of this group’s scores, all of which are above 65, allowing for a deeper, more focused journey of healing and personal evolution.
The episode then shifts to the core teachings of Aramaic forgiveness. Dr. Ryce stresses that true forgiveness is not about pardoning another’s behavior but instead about removing the internal pain that their behavior triggered. He reminds listeners that hostility and fear distort perception, just as a TV tuned to the wrong channel gives the wrong picture. If a mind is not functioning in the active presence of love, it is by definition insane. He elaborates that the human mind is designed to operate from a foundation of love, which provides the clearest guidance even in the most traumatic circumstances. Dr. Ryce warns against trusting perceptions born of fear or hostility, reinforcing that healing and truth can only emerge when one remains connected to love. A powerful segment unfolds with a call-in from Susan in North Carolina, who recounts her support group’s experience helping a woman facing the possible death of her husband. The group used the Why Again worksheet process, and Susan gave the woman a copy of Dr. Ryce’s book, affirming the transformative impact of the tools. The discussion expands into the concept of the “power person” and “relationship substitution”—a dynamic where unresolved trauma from a dominant figure in one’s life gets projected onto a current partner, often without conscious awareness. Dr. Ryce explains that once a partner activates unresolved issues from a power person, the mind replaces the present relationship with the emotional data of the past, making true connection nearly impossible unless the original wound is healed. Susan vulnerably shares her personal struggles with her own power person dynamic, expressing her intense emotional reaction and addictive responses, particularly around sugar, rooted in early childhood coping mechanisms. Dr. Ryce offers compassionate insight, noting how addictions and intense emotional swings often mirror unresolved generational patterns. He supports Susan’s awareness as a pivotal moment for healing and reminds listeners that this internal work, though difficult, is the pathway out of inherited pain. The episode concludes with Julie from Seattle reflecting on the power of these insights. Dr. Ryce reinforces the importance of resolving the power person dynamic to restore clarity in relationships and end the cultural pattern of objectifying and discarding others. He emphasizes that true relationship is a being-to-being connection, not body-to-body, and that it’s only possible when we reclaim our identity as the presence of love. YouTube https://youtu.be/adiOmNcrSFg or on our Podetize player at https://whyagain.org/mindshifters-radio-show-player-for-archives/ Additional Notes: (Apologies. We were about 4-5 mintutes late starting, BlogTalk had to reset us, our program was delayed getting turned on.) michael explained the Personal Code Evaluation and how the results show us our “blind spots” and custom assignments to have the best process during intensive. The participants coming in for Laws of Living have the highest scores as a group (none under 65 points). This is going to create a platform to sail higher than normal. Susan Darnell (primo LOL teacher from Wilmington NC) may join us too. Susan called in with a question about the relationship substitution. This happens when someone violates an important goal that was held for the Power Person. Until those PP dynamics are resolved the person one is in relationship with will no longer be seen as they are/were, they will be “clothed” in the unresolved energies of the PP. Julie called in to further the discussion by asking how can they get out of the PP file. Recovery Wednesday will resume next week. The Power Person / CoDependence aspect is also an addiction. |

(Apologies – BTR did it again – we were about 8 minutes late getting the show on, hopefully we have the issues worked out) The difference in Prayer and Blessing. Prayer is being in alignment with God (Love) and reflecting that to the world while Blessing is spreading that Love on others and seeing it in others. Refer to the book “Gentle Art of Blessing” by Pierre Pradervand, shows how the simple act of blessing creates a whole new world. Difference in being in one’s head verses being in their heart. The head attempts to “figure it out” based on past experiences while being in the heart is being connected and capturing the present moment experience. Maureen shared that her 5 year old daughter spontaneously asked to do a wake-up sheet the other night (and it may have been to delay bedtime but that’s OK). How to start a wake-up sheet about wanting a particular job and yet being afraid of getting it. Afraid of failure if she gets it and yet she will be disappointed if she doesn’t get it. |

Vladimir Lenin, dictator in Soviet Union in early 1900s, said the way to destroy a culture is to change the meaning of its words. Culture is passed from generation to generation via words. If the meaning of the words is changed then the true culture is lost and something else is created. An example of this happening is the meaning of forgiveness was changed to pardoning and true forgiveness was lost.
The Laws of the Universe (created by the Laws of the Eternal Forces) cannot be broken. When we understand how it works we can play in that realm and avoid collision. If we don’t understand the Laws we collide and we are the ones who get broken. If Y’Shua sat in most churches today would say “That is all Greek to me.” His teachings have been changed. He said when we think of the Creator or neighbor (anyone we think of including ourself) we must maintain Rakhma (a filter in our mind, frontal lobes, over intentions) active in order to maintain ourself as Being. Love is a state of BEING not something we DO to another. Just like the Law of Gravity or Law of Attraction (resonance) … there are Laws of the land, Laws of relationship interaction, Laws regarding the energetic needs of your body and mind, and on and on. Incoherent frequencies in your system manifest in your cells as dis-ease. Remove the frequencies and the tissue goes back to health. Forgiveness removes the incoherent frequencies of your previous 4 generations. |

February 24, 2016 episode of MindShifters Radio, Jeanie Ryce hosts while Dr. Tim Hayes is away, and she is joined by Dr. Michael Ryce as they continue the series of discussions related to healing, especially through the lens of Aramaic forgiveness. Dr. Ryce begins by offering deep insights into the nature of healing as a conscious choice to return to the active presence of love. He explains that many people experience trauma and store unresolved pain in the unconscious, which eventually surfaces in daily interactions—especially within intimate relationships. These unresolved energies often create distorted perceptions, which are further fueled by fear and hostility. Dr. Ryce emphasizes that unless a person is functioning from a space of love, they are not operating sanely or clearly, because fear and hostility block access to accurate perception and rational response.
One central theme in this show is the importance of understanding how the unconscious mind projects pain from the past onto present relationships. Dr. Ryce discusses the concept of the “power person” dynamic and how individuals often transfer unresolved childhood trauma into adult relationships, causing them to respond inappropriately or irrationally when emotionally triggered. He warns that the mind can substitute present reality with the emotional memory of a past abuser, causing confusion, misinterpretation, and self-sabotage. Healing, he says, begins by recognizing these patterns and consciously choosing to cancel the goal that sustains the internal pain. A caller, Susan, shares a personal story about how her support group assisted a woman whose husband was dying. The group used the Why Again forgiveness tools, including the Reality Management Worksheet, to help this woman move through grief and trauma. Susan expresses how grateful she is for the tools and notes how effective they are in helping people access deep emotional pain and bring it into conscious awareness for transformation. Dr. Ryce responds with appreciation and emphasizes how important it is to stay in active engagement with the tools, rather than simply discussing or theorizing about healing. The show further explores how people attempt to avoid emotional discomfort through addictive behaviors, such as the use of sugar, substances, or emotional outbursts. Dr. Ryce describes these as distractions that temporarily mask internal pain but ultimately reinforce dysfunction. He also highlights the generational aspect of emotional pain, explaining how unresolved trauma is passed from one generation to the next until someone becomes conscious enough to interrupt the cycle. Healing, according to Dr. Ryce, is not a passive process—it requires conscious engagement, the willingness to feel, and the courage to cancel destructive internal goals. The show closes with a discussion about true relationship and what it means to connect being-to-being, rather than falling into cultural patterns of using others as objects for gratification or emotional regulation. Dr. Ryce insists that love is not something we do or get from others, but the core of who we are. When we operate from this truth, healing, clarity, and connection become not only possible but inevitable. YouTube https://youtu.be/5YN1ectqs_Q or on our Podetize player at https://whyagain.org/mindshifters-radio-show-player-for-archives/ Additional Notes: Recovery Wednesday. What are we trying to recover? It is more than living without the substance and getting closer to God (Love). We are getting back our human life (hold a newborn, its essence is the experience of life). The false self must die for the True self to live. The alcohol or substance seems to smooth out the internal pain – it doesn’t but it has an anesthesizing effect. The pain is a driver (often unconscious) for the behavior. When the pain is dealt with then the toxic substance is no longer needed for anesthesizing the pain. One of the greatest moments of pain and rage is when we gave up who we are for what we thought we needed to be based on messages from the Power Person and environment. We must be willing to go back through and clear that up. Forgiveness is what clears that up. Gail and Terry call in and share from their perspective. Some use it to not feel anything but with others they think the “high” correlates to experiencing God and blissfulness. It actually feels good because the pain has been shut down. It is a lack of pain but it is not permanent. michael explains the brain is actually “dying” and gives an appearance of euphoria. Endorphins and Cephalins (natural pain killer) released. PTSD – a traumatic experience in life occurs and plays out when the veil is more open and what has been pushed down into the unconscious rises back out. Without the tools one usually turns to some addictive behavior. Power Person dynamics are based on the level of stress. Automatic behavior. |

We need stress in our life but as seen in michael’s DVD “Getting the Stress You Need” we need to know how stress is created and how to get rid of stresses that do not serve us. Faculty of “Will” manages our mind indirectly by managing our goals.
Dr Tim sees the theme of people slowly awakening to awareness that it is a process but it needs to be continued. One worksheet won’t take care of all the issues…takes effort to interrupt the pattern of belief of holding on. It takes surrender … either to the Carbon Based Memory of Hostility or Fear or surrender to Love. Shelly called in – it is like the recycle icon – a continual loop. One has to keep doing the work. He has seen such a change in people around him sending him love and embracing him differently since he dropped hostility and fear and remains in love. Send love and receive love. Another tool introduced in Laws of Living is “Word Links” Another caller, with children 3 and 5, wants to know how to introduce the children to the work. Maureen called in to share her experience with her children (same age). Also, imagery of going to a “happy place” and the use of a “Love Chair” verses a “Time Out Chair” |

Leap Day! Julie H, from HeartLand, joins us on Mondays now! The attainment of Peace and the obstacles that keep Peace away from ourselves. Peace is not the absence of war but is the Peace That Passes All Understanding…the awakening to our true being.
Dr. Tim’s clients’ theme has been “help me get them to change!” instead of the willingness to look inside. Don D. calls in requesting assistance with forgiveness toward a situation with an aquaintance who he perceives has stolen from him. michael explains the difference in pardoning her verses forgiveness of what is inside himself and what part of himself has drawn in someone to not be in integrity to show him what he needs to clean up. michael suggests listening to the song “Madness” by Alanis Morissette, she talks about being unwilling to look inside. Text asks “What about boundaries? What are healthy boundaries?” michael suggests boundaries may be a way of avoiding looking at what the situation brings up. Dr. Tim says everything I do educates people around me about what is acceptable or not acceptable to me. If I stay conscious and focus on self, making clear statements, then I can be responsible in words and behavior to keep my values clear. Julie speaks of her classroom experiences and that boundaries shut her students out and shut herself out. She did her work around those thoughts and built relationships on fairness, feel them (Who they were), and let go of needing to be in control, deal with vulnerability and be present and receptive. More valuable than any boundary. Star Trek V: The Final Frontier – an obsessive search for God and finding what one is searching for is what is searching. |
