Happy New Year!
January 1, 2020 — The New Year’s Day MindShifters Radio discussion centers on moving beyond the mind’s inherited “personal code” and learning to function from Being and Love. A caller reflects on resistance, self-doubt, the desire to fix other people, and Susan Bingham’s decision to “hold a space of love” for her grandson. Ryce explains that what appears to be a personal code actually belongs to the conditioned mind, not to the Being itself. Doubt, fear, and the compulsion to repair another person can arise from generational programming rather than present truth. The conversation develops denial, dissociation, resonance, and projection: when internal pain is assigned to someone outside, the mind hides its actual source and then constructs perceptions of others from the very material that has been denied. Forgiveness provides the way back by exposing and releasing what has been hidden rather than trying to change the person who triggered it. YouTube https://youtu.be/-SINdSVoxXA |

January 2, 2020 — Much of this show follows Yolanda through a Reality Management/Forgiveness Worksheet involving racism, anger, fear, pain, and her desire for people to understand the suffering caused by racial prejudice. Jeanie helps her examine whether she has ever withheld understanding from herself or others and whether anger toward groups may itself contain judgments needing attention. As the worksheet deepens, Yolanda’s rage gives way to fear, sadness, and older pain, illustrating the teaching that anger often functions as an anesthetic covering more vulnerable material. The discussion emphasizes moving beneath anger rather than condemning it, using the worksheet to uncover additional layers, including generational material. Participants also reflect on racial prejudice, unconscious bias, guilt, and the importance of honest examination rather than defensiveness.

January 3, 2020 — A caller asks how the country might move toward greater unity. Ryce responds that collective unity begins with individuals ending division within their own minds. Using Y’Shua’s “house divided against itself” teaching, he explains that people often consciously desire safety, peace, or unity while simultaneously speaking fear, hostility, and destructive expectations. Political rage is treated as an opportunity to discover what is already active internally rather than proof that an outside person caused the rage. The show develops Rakhma as the condition that keeps human intention aligned with Love and uses the story of Gander, Newfoundland, welcoming stranded travelers after September 11 as an example of people naturally treating strangers as neighbors. The practical message is to heal the hostility within so that what one contributes to family, politics, community, and the world comes from Love rather than internal division.

January 6, 2020 — A caller describes distress because her partner frequently takes hours to answer texts or calls, leaving her feeling unimportant despite repeated attempts at responsible communication. Ryce acknowledges that she has the right to decide what kind of relationship she wants while emphasizing that the intensity of her reaction reveals unconscious material that deserves attention. Rather than trying to determine the partner’s motives, he encourages her to work with the belief and emotional charge activated within her. The MindShifter around being treated as unimportant produces a strong response, which Ryce identifies as evidence that deeper material is surfacing. The conversation distinguishes responsible boundaries from attempting to make another person responsible for one’s internal state: first clean up the unconscious charge, then address agreements and relationship choices from greater clarity.

January 7, 2020 — The show explores illness, anger, denial, and supporting someone in crisis. Susan discusses a woman with Ménière’s disease who is angry about her condition, and Ryce emphasizes addressing the anger directly rather than treating outside circumstances as its cause. He restates the cycle of denial, dissociation, and projection, describing the ancient “heart” as the hidden or unconscious mind from which life issues emerge. Attention then turns to Susan’s grandson Luke, whose drinking, vomiting, and deteriorating self-care have raised concern. Rather than simply “sending him away” for treatment, Ryce suggests the different emotional message conveyed by taking or accompanying him—demonstrating that he is worth supporting. The conversation emphasizes loving presence, appropriate intervention, respect for resistance, and helping someone become receptive rather than forcing change.

January 8, 2020 — Joel shares a dramatic personal account of what he describes as a healing crisis after years of working with the Forgiveness tools. After having previously stopped drinking, old urges returned and eventually became daily alcohol use as he intensified his inner work. He later recognized that the terror and lack of safety surfacing matched themes identified years earlier in his three earliest memories. After moving through an especially intense period, he reports that the fear abruptly disappeared, his mind felt clearer, and the world appeared visually different, as though a perceptual filter had lifted. Ryce interprets the resurgence of old addictive urges as material surfacing for healing and outlines signs he associates with a healing crisis, including increased vitality, elimination, and cravings for substances or behaviors previously used to suppress feeling. The account is presented as Joel’s experience and Ryce’s healing framework.

January 9, 2020 — Tracy discusses memories and emotional material surfacing as she begins using the worksheets more deeply. Jeanie suggests keeping a photograph of herself as a very young child nearby to help reconnect with her original innocence. Ryce makes an important distinction: the objective is not to “love yourself” as though Love were an action one performs, but to recognize that Love is what one is and develop behaviors that support experiencing that created essence. Tracy reports that repetitive thoughts of not wanting to continue have decreased since doing the worksheet and that greater clarity is emerging. Ryce frames returning memories as evidence that previously suppressed material may now be available to process. Joel then reinforces the previous day’s conversation, describing committed daily work as breaking apart the “concrete” surrounding long-held trauma.

January 10, 2020 — This broadcast replays an earlier session featuring Magda working through a Reality Management/Forgiveness Worksheet and provides a detailed example of the “Hydra Effect,” where one worksheet reveals numerous additional issues needing attention. Magda begins with anger toward herself for forgetting her own goals when responding to another person. Ryce distinguishes self-responsibility from self-blame and shows how fleeting thoughts blaming another person can reveal unconscious material even when the conscious mind insists, “I know this is mine.” Each newly discovered issue—self-blame, selling herself out, anger, hurt, parental condemnation, and Power Person patterns—becomes another worksheet. The purpose is to keep drilling beneath surface reactions until the hidden material organizing perception and behavior becomes accessible. Canceling goals, facing underlying pain, and separating responsibility from condemnation are central themes.

January 13, 2020 — With Ryce away at a retreat, Jeanie carries much of the show and discusses A Course in Miracles Lesson 13, “A meaningless world engenders fear.” She distinguishes the mentally constructed “world” or reality between our ears from the created world itself, suggesting that fear arises when people give their own past-based meanings to what they perceive. The conversation also returns to special relationships, guilt, honesty, and doing one’s own work rather than making relationships unnecessarily complicated. Susan shares concern about Luke’s depression, drinking, weight gain, and upcoming intervention, while also reporting a positive phone conversation in which he expresses interest in school, losing weight, and reducing his drinking. The community is invited to join in a Love Exchange for him, emphasizing supportive presence without trying to control the outcome.
YouTube https://youtu.be/YfOsNfvl-mU Additional Notes: ACIM W-13.1. Today’s idea, a meaningless world engenders fear, is really another form of the preceding one which was I am upset because I see a meaningless world, except that it is more specific as to the emotion aroused which is fear. 2 Actually, a meaningless world is impossible. 3 Nothing without meaning exists. Jeanie said the world between our ears is meaningless except the meaning we give it base on past experiences. The World the Creator made is full of meaning. It is the world (our reality) that brings up fear. |

January 14, 2020 — Ryce joins the show immediately after what he describes as one of the deepest StillPoint Breath sessions he had facilitated in more than forty years. He reflects on a couple’s willingness to encounter severe family trauma and describes the experience as evidence, within his framework, that generational material can be opened and processed through Breath, willingness, and Forgiveness. He contrasts Aramaic Forgiveness with pardoning another person for what is happening internally and returns to the importance of canceling goals. Ryce says he came to understand that goals organize perception; when a goal driving a painful perceptual construct is canceled, the construct can collapse, creating access to deeper material held beneath awareness. Breath then becomes central to entering and processing those layers rather than remaining trapped in a perception built from the past.
YouTube https://youtu.be/X-J53XyJzOY Additional Notes:ACIM says the world is meaningless and I have given it the meaning it has. Past content is resonated by a current event and the fear is contained as the root of perception and we put the meaning of the past construct on the current event. Courage to look and embrace the fear and then Forgiveness dissolves the fear. ACIM lessons are all about the undoing process – receptive space. Question: How do you benefit from breathing someone else? Bach said “we teach best what we need to learn.” Jeanie spoke about the CoDependence worksheet and getting the advice close enough that we see what we need to hear. January 15, 2020 — The show centers on the conscious, subconscious, and unconscious mind and the role of Breath in keeping information available to awareness. After Jack reports that using the worksheet has already opened another “Hydra” layer, Ryce explains his view that the unconscious mind is an unnatural condition created when material is actively suppressed. Subconscious information can be recalled when appropriate resonance brings it forward, while material becomes unconscious when Breath and awareness shut down around experiences a person does not want to face. Forgiveness is presented as the means of reopening those hidden areas rather than continuing to strengthen them through denial and dissociation. The discussion emphasizes experimentation over belief: use the tools, observe what happens, and become acquainted with what has been hidden internally.

January 16, 2020 — Ryce uses his early electronics training to construct an extended analogy between human physiology and a radio or television receiving system. A receiver needs both the proper tuning mechanism and antenna to receive a particular frequency; likewise, he proposes that the human system must be structurally capable of receiving and expressing Love. The newborn child is used as the experiential reference for this original design. Trauma, hostility, fear, addiction, and inherited conditioning are described as changes to the “antenna” and tuning mechanism that distort what is received. Healing, in this framework, involves rebuilding the structure so it can once again resonate with Love and the Creator. The analogy ties physiology, resonance, addiction recovery, Aramaic teaching, and Forgiveness into a model of restoring the human system’s original capacity.

January 17, 2020 — Jack introduces the term “process addiction,” meaning compulsive behaviors such as gambling, sex, codependence, or other activities used in ways similar to substance addiction. Ryce broadens the definition of addiction to include the compulsive use of any substance, person, circumstance, activity, or behavior to avoid inner guidance or anesthetize feeling. Hostility can function similarly because, in his framework, anger produces internal chemistry that helps suppress deeper pain. The show then moves into Laws of Living and personal power. Ryce describes “law” not as a list of divine rules but as understanding and aligning with eternal forces. Rakhma is presented as the filter over intentions and Khooba as the filter over perception, keeping goals and perceptual material aligned with Love. Personal power increases when truth, Love, will, skills, perception, and meaningful activity are brought into alignment.

January 20, 2020 — Ryce continues walking Chuck through a seven-step Wake-Up Sheet involving his desire for Magda to support his choices. The repeated appearance of situations in which he feels unsupported is used to identify the issue as an internal pattern rather than merely a problem with one person. Ryce explains projection as using internal mind-energy to construct one’s brain-image of another person and then mistaking that construct for something objectively outside. The central Forgiveness step is Shbag — canceling the goal driving the painful perceptual construct. Chuck cancels his goal for Magda to support his choices while holding Love conscious, active, and present, and reports relief. Jack later explores his inherited “short fuse,” tracing anger and hurt to his father and receiving a MindShifter focused on embracing and healing the hurt he experienced around angry people while remaining connected to Love.

January 21, 2020 — The show introduces a revised Laws of Living illustration titled “The Big Lie,” focused on the proposition that perception is produced by the mind rather than simply received through the eyes. Ryce emphasizes that the Forgiveness tools are intended to be tested rather than believed and describes resistance as a central obstacle to exposing hidden material. He interprets satan as “the resister” or one who misleads, rather than as a proper name, using this to describe the mind’s tendency to blame others and avoid confronting what is hidden. The discussion then examines how perception is assembled from goals, stored information, expectations, and unconscious material. Forgiveness collapses the false perceptual construct so the mind can return toward Love rather than repeatedly organizing experience around hostility, fear, and inherited patterns.

January 22, 2020 — Ryce begins with a discussion of shame, secrecy, mental-health struggles, and cultural pressure to hide what people are experiencing rather than seek tools and support. A caller then explores purpose, value, healing, and the possibility of physiological longevity. Ryce presents his belief that aging and death are influenced by energies carried within the system and that Forgiveness can remove destructive patterns; these claims are part of his teaching framework rather than established medical conclusions. The conversation moves toward resonance as a governing principle: when something another person does activates an internal response, the other person is not necessarily the cause but the resonator of what already exists within. Understanding resonance therefore restores responsibility and makes Forgiveness possible.

January 23, 2020 — With Michelle filling in for Jeanie, Ryce discusses the upcoming Laws of Living Intensive and returns to the Aramaic concept of law. He rejects the image of law as commands imposed by an angry superior and instead describes laws as eternal forces with which human beings can either harmonize or fall out of alignment. The objective of Laws of Living is therefore to identify and remove the blocks preventing full relationship with those forces and with one’s higher capacities. Jack later raises his desire to be heard and understood and discusses communication habits such as talking rapidly or excessively. The broader conversation emphasizes self-observation, worksheets, responsible communication, and continuing to uncover the internal patterns behind recurring interpersonal difficulties.

January 24, 2020 — Ryce develops the “operating systems of the mind,” focusing again on Rakhma and Khooba. Rakhma aligns intentions with Love; because intentions become the raw material of goals, Love-based intention supports Love-based perception through Khooba. Without these filters operating, he says unconscious and dissociated material tends to drive the creative process, reproducing unresolved patterns from personal history and the bloodline. Denial is defined as thinking or speaking as though something outside causes what is happening inside. Those hidden patterns accumulate energy and eventually reappear through relationships and circumstances, providing opportunities for Forgiveness. The episode presents life events not simply as problems to eliminate but as mirrors showing where unconscious content remains available for correction.

January 27, 2020 — The show returns to a caller who reports emerging from another layer of healing with greater clarity and lightness. Ryce explains that deeper healing does not always feel more traumatic because greater skill and willingness reduce resistance. Pain, in his framework, is intensified by holding against what is moving, while willingness allows energy to pass more freely. He again connects satan with resistance and misleading mental processes. Ryce also offers an Aramaic rendering associated with the Lord’s Prayer: asking the Creator to “carve out a space in me for your wholeness.” Forgiveness is described as precisely that carving-away process, removing accumulated “gunk” so Love, light, and Being can become more fully expressed through physiology.

| January 28 | January 28, 2020 the first-hour discussion that ends mid-conversation. Total 20 min.
A major theme is that emotions arise from the interpretation or “filter” placed on events rather than from the events themselves. The discussion challenges the common belief that circumstances or other people “make” us angry, sad, hurt, or frustrated. Instead, each person is encouraged to examine the meaning they are assigning to what happens and recognize that this interpretive filter becomes a causative force in emotional experience. Archived worksheet sessions are recommended as practical tutorials because they demonstrate how the same principles can be applied to parenting, workplace conflict, grief, procrastination, anxiety, and many other situations. Victor Frankl and Man’s Search for Meaning are then discussed as examples of retaining meaning, Love, and inner choice under extreme conditions. Frankl’s experience in Nazi concentration camps is used to reinforce the principle that external circumstances do not have to determine the internal state a person chooses to cultivate. The discussion connects this with stories from The Gentle Art of Blessing, including a concentration-camp survivor described as refusing to live from hatred even after witnessing the murder of his family and enduring years of abuse. These stories are presented as examples of the possibility of choosing Love, meaning, and service even amid profound suffering. The overall message is that human beings can become more responsible for the lens through which they interpret life. Forgiveness, as taught within the MindShifters framework, is not simply about changing external circumstances but about examining and transforming the internal meanings, fears, hostilities, and conditioned responses through which those circumstances are perceived. Choosing Love, looking for helpers, engaging practical tools, and becoming aware of one’s interpretive filter are presented as pathways toward greater freedom, resilience, and service. No MP4. |

January 29, 2020 — Susan reflects on family intervention efforts involving Luke and on self-doubt about whether the family handled things correctly. Ryce encourages her to include herself in the Love Exchanges she is directing toward Luke. He describes what he calls the “early adopter” dynamic: when one family member begins taking responsibility for internal experience instead of remaining in denial and blame, that person may become the target of resistance from others whose hidden material is activated. Rather than taking those attacks personally, the early adopter can recognize them as expressions of Power Person and generational patterns and use them as material for additional Forgiveness work. Susan is encouraged to continue holding Love present, allowing Luke to express what he needs to express, while also addressing the corresponding patterns resonated within her own family system.

January 30, 2020 — With Michelle filling in for Jeanie, the show opens around willingness and the recurring need to cancel goals. Ryce reflects that it took him decades of working with first-century Aramaic Forgiveness, electronics, physics, and the teachings of Y’Shua to understand why canceling a goal can collapse a painful perceptual construct. A caller discusses large-scale environmental and financial ambitions and the challenge of remaining steady in Love while dealing with attorneys, intellectual property, money, and worldly pressures. Ryce redirects the emphasis from striving toward alignment: rather than forcing results through effort, he describes human beings as energetic systems that function most powerfully when purpose, thought, intention, and physiology are aligned with Love. He also revisits the Aramaic understanding of “law,” not as rules imposed by a superior, but as understanding and harmonizing with the eternal forces by which creation operates.
Later, Magda describes a series of worksheets that move backward through college, high school, grade school, and early childhood around a recurring feeling of being “second best.” She realizes that beneath striving to be perfect was a competitive drive to be the best so she could qualify for attention and Love. The work leads toward early messages such as “I’m not important enough,” “there’s something wrong with me,” and “I’m not good enough,” along with experiences of being fed on a schedule and having self-soothing restricted. Ryce helps her identify additional worksheets around competition, control, approval, worthiness, and parental expectations. The show also connects posture, the spine, and the body’s “antenna” metaphor with Ryce’s broader energetic healing framework. These physiological interpretations are presented as part of Ryce’s teaching model rather than established clinical conclusions. YouTube https://youtu.be/otGxJLmOzI0 |

January 31, 2011 we began MindShifter’s Radio. Today is day 1 of our 10th year. Then, March 4, 2019 we began the 2 hour show, Dr Tim hosting the first hour and michael the second hour.
January 31, 2020 — The final January show marks the beginning of MindShifters Radio’s tenth year. Ryce welcomes a couple who first encountered his work decades earlier and are now ready to engage seriously with the Forgiveness process, using their story to emphasize that people often approach these tools only when willingness becomes strong enough. He restates the core of first-century Aramaic Forgiveness as collapsing the mind’s false perceptual constructs, accessing the fear, hostility, trauma, or pain beneath them, and freeing the system from those patterns. He also returns to his interpretation of the opening of John as describing mind-energy becoming flesh and connects thoughts, neuropeptides, receptor sites, physiology, and emotional conditioning within his mind-body framework. A major portion of the program revisits Shbag, which Ryce identifies as “cancel.” Goals drive perception, and when a goal is linked to hostility or fear, canceling that goal allows the perceptual structure to collapse and exposes the underlying material for healing. Breath and StillPoint are presented as tools for softening physiological tension so what has been hidden can surface in the presence of Love. Matthias from Germany asks why loving goals can sometimes feel false. Ryce explains that a loving goal may act like a MindShifter: if “I choose to honor and cherish you” feels insincere, that reaction reveals conflicting unconscious material. Writing and repeating the loving goal can therefore resonate hidden anger, fear, resentment, or pain into awareness. Jeanie further clarifies that the loving goal at the end of the worksheet is not a demand placed on the other person; it is a commitment about how one chooses to stand toward them.
